The Record File
This file is the place, where all the events, the measure points, go to! The record file simple is build from only measure points. One measure point has a size of 80 bytes. The size of the record file is limited to the space of your target drive (Typically your hard disk).
The file has an extension .CTR ("ComTrace Record File"), that you cannot change.
Hints:
With version 3 the record file gets the extension *.ctr! The old extension *.crd clashed with the Outlook calling card files. Old record files can be renamed, because the structure of the content is unchanged.
Use the following functions to create or open a record file:
"File | New Record File"
"File | Open Record File"
Attention:
Please do not use network drives, floppy disk drives and other slow devices to save your record file to! If you have less space on your drive, try to filter the data recorded via triggers!
