The Recording Panel
This part of the "Control Center" on the "Main Screen" enables you start or stop the recording of ComTrace.
Start Recording
If you start recording by clicking the above button, press the key <F9> or use the menu "Record | Start", the status bar is updated, showing "MONITOR MODE" (Recording mode) instead of "EXAMINE MODE" (Check/Analyzing mode) at the most left panel.
All functions available in "EXAMINE MODE" get disabled in "RECORD MODE" to avoid adverse effects while recording.
ComTrace now checks for active triggers in the "Trigger Panel". If there are no start triggers on top, recording starts at once!
If there are start triggers at the top position, it waits for these events. If such an event occurs, the recording gets started automatically!
If there are on-top stop triggers, ComTrace starts recording at once and then waits for stop triggers to stop recording!
In any case waiting for a pending start or stop triggers is displayed in the status bar at the most right panel with its number and type (start/stop)!
This multiple start/stop trigger sequence procedure is a key feature of ComTrace!
Stop Recording
If you press the above button again, press the key <F10> or use the menu "Record | Stop", the recording of data is stopped at once, no matter, whether there were unprocessed triggers or not.
All functions, disabled while recording get enabled again!
