Record | Start
This function allows you to start the recording of serial data into the Record File you've selected. ComTrace asks you to whether you want to replace existing data or append the recorded data to the existing one.
Choose the desired mode. Your selection gets saved into the ComTrace Configuration File !
After starting the MONITOR MODE, ComTrace checks for established triggers in the trigger panel! If there are one or more triggers, the program will process them.
If there are no active triggers in the list, recording of data starts and stops as soon as you call this function!
The "Status Bar" shows you details about the recording status, the active triggers and an info about the possible time resolution of your system!
While recording, the Data Grid is updated in one second steps, if the system has time to do that. So you can nearly see the actual data flow at active recording.
If you have entered one or more active triggers into the Trigger Panel, these triggers will be processed!
If the following windows are open, the "Measure Point/Statistics" window always tells you details about the actual measure point! In the "COM Settings/Real Port" window, you can see LEDs showing the data flow and signal changes
At any point of time, you can stop recording at once!
Tip:
The same functions can be found on the "Recording Panel" at the left bottom corner of the "Main Screen" for quick & easy access!
