ComTrace Help Contents
This program was designed to help you to analyze and examine data of serial communication ports (RS232/V24). To save you money for expensive hardware being attached to your PC, ComTrace comes with a special cheap cable set, which must be connected only to two standard serial ports (COM ports) of your PC (If you have only one or no COM port, please contact IWOXX for a solution)!
This version of the software includes some key features like (grouped) triggers with the ability of multiple Start/Stop trigger chains, a timestamp function down to microseconds accuracy, a "Real Port" window, to show you the actual state of the serial communication port with LEDs, many "Goto, Search & Measure" functions and very extensive control of character and signal display modes.
If you are new with this version of ComTrace, please ensure, that you proceed with the first steps! If you don't, there may be problems, while installing and operating the hard- and software, or recording and examining your data.
